Interview Like an Olympian™ · by Jeneba Wint
Interview readiness your staff can teach and your participants can practice.
A book and a staff-delivered curriculum. Workforce, reentry and career programs use it to help people find the experience they keep dismissing, explain it with evidence, and practice until the answer is their own.

- Taught by Life After Release staff in Job Club, its reentry workforce program
- Ordered in bulk by Morgan State University, Dress for Success and the U.S. House
- Used in over 1,000 interviews
- Built by a former Division I athlete
The program gap
Most people receive interview advice. Few receive a system.
A participant says, “I just helped with scheduling.” The experience is real. The words and the evidence are missing. Without a shared method, each facilitator rebuilds that session from scratch, and every cohort gets a slightly different program.
Interview Like an Olympian turns interview preparation into a repeatable practice.
ILAO Career Partner Program
Bring Interview Like an Olympian to your next cohort.
Life After Release licenses the book and curriculum for Job Club, its reentry workforce development program, and its own staff teach it. The Career Partner Program gives your program the same setup.
- Built for
- Workforce, reentry and career programs with a recurring cohort and a staff facilitator
- One cohort
- One program at one site, up to 25 participants, two staff facilitators and a 90-day delivery window
- Your staff get
- The curriculum and participant materials, a kickoff, a 90-minute facilitator training, a launch check and a cohort review, all remote
- Participants work toward
- An inventory of five contributions, three interview stories tied to a target role, one answer practiced and revised, and a next-step plan
- Quoted separately
- Books, on-site delivery, and sessions Jeneba teaches herself
How it works
The Olympian Interview Method™, in four sessions
- 01
Find the experience
An inventory of what each person handled, who relied on it and what record remains.
- 02
Translate it to the role
One example becomes an answer tied to a real job responsibility.
- 03
Practice and get feedback
A first attempt, one specific correction, then a second attempt.
- 04
Revise and plan the next rep
Score the answer and choose what to improve before the next interview.
AI in the program
AI helps with practice. The participant writes the answer.
AI can suggest practice questions and point out missing details. The participant checks every claim, removes anything they can’t support, and answers follow-up questions out loud in their own words. Every activity also runs without AI, and no one has to put personal history into a public tool to take part.
Reporting
Evidence your program can stand behind.
Each cohort closes with a summary of sessions delivered, attendance, completed story portfolios and practice scores. Employment follow-up stays with your program. The summary supports your reporting. It doesn’t replace your funder’s formal measures.

Questions from program teams
We already have a curriculum.
Good. Bring your session list to the fit call. ILAO fills a specific gap, usually the step between “I have experience” and “I can explain it in an interview.” If your curriculum already covers that, you may not need it.
There are free AI courses.
Those teach the tool. ILAO teaches a coaching method your staff run with your participants, with or without AI.
Our staff don't have time.
Jeneba walks through the preparation each session needs before you commit, so you can judge the workload first.
Will this get participants hired?
No curriculum can promise that. Participants leave with practiced, evidence-based answers, and your team leaves with a repeatable way to teach them.

The book
Interview Like an Olympian
$25.99Paperback. $5 shipping, plus tax, at checkout.
The playbook for walking into any interview prepared, confident, and clear on your value.
Most people prepare for an interview the night before. Olympians prepare long before anyone is watching, then trust their training when it counts.
This book gives you that training. Former Division I NCAA athlete turned tech leader Jeneba Wint turns the mindset and preparation of elite athletes into a repeatable system for job seekers. You learn to tell your story, communicate your value, handle tough questions, and walk out knowing you left nothing on the field.
Every interview you walk into unprepared leaves the outcome to chance. This is how you stop doing that.
Used in over 1,000 interviews worldwide.

"This book is full of frameworks and strategies that will help you shift your mindset and land your next gig."
